Enterprise Architect

This position will be an integral part of the migration from existing applications and services to the evolving future state by defining reengineering plans, supporting the definition and design of enterprise-wide services and utilities, and the engineering teams of different development sites to deliver their respective application solutions. The role will have significant involvement in hands-on architecture and design but will also contribute to supporting engineering teams and infrastructure/operation. Close collaboration with key stakeholders from several technical and business domain/teamss will be crucial.

 

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Define Strategies of Enterprise Architecture:
  • Understand the “as is” suite of applications and existing enterprise-wide utilities and services of the company
  • Gradually increase the level of commonality and standardization across the engineering units, e.g.:define plans to eliminate the systems obsolescence
  • Improve the system integration (internal and external)
  • Implement a new data model as the foundation to support the company’s future needs

 

  • Solution Architecture Design:
  • Support projects in creating Solutions Architecture designs aligned with company IT Enterprise Architecture Strategies, guidelines and principles
  • Serve as the subject-matter-expert in selective EA components (e.g. data modeller/expert in corporate-wide databases.
  • Coordinate with unit lead developers to ensure that unit-specific solution/application architecture is appropriate and supportive of the end-to-end enterprise architecture and standards.

 

  • Guidelines and principles:
  • Define corporate governance in terms of guidelines and principles, ensure their implementation across units and provide technology support
  • Define the best practices of coding, integration patterns, data model, ALM process and development process
  • Work closely with each engineering unit to ensure that necessary enterprise standards and services are gradually introduced
  • Proof of Concepts
  • Infrastructure and Operations Support

 

Profile

  • University graduate / bachelor’s degree in technology-related field (e.g. computer science, MIS, etc.)
  • Excellent English language skills
  • Rich set of Microsoft-related formal training classes and/or certifications (e.g. .NET, C#, SQL Server, Angular, RabbitMQ, etc.), supplemented by demonstrable on-the-job training and utilization.
  • Proven experience in designing and supporting high-availability, high-volume transactional processing systems and invoicing applications.
  • Experience in breaking a monolithic legacy application into smaller sub-systems/service.
  • Deep knowledge and continuous hands-on experience in large-scale software (re)engineering (bespoke software development), enterprise services design and implementation, application solutions architecture, database modelling, and legacy platform migration / integration (predominantly based on past and present Microsoft technologies, frameworks and products.)
  • Proven track record of successful delivery of cross-functional, multi-year business development and technology transformation / legacy system (re)engineering projects.
  • Experience with back-office processing platforms and transaction-based software applications within payments, financial services, or retail domains.
  • Application design and development experience within the Payment Card Industry with relevant experience related to the applicable Data Security Standards (“PCI-DSS”)
  • Architectural design and engineering experience in varied, non-Microsoft technology solutions, databases and frameworks (e.g. Java / J2EE, Oracle or other DBMS, etc.)
